While language services are an essential and rewarding industry, common misconceptions persist, such as “Anyone who is bilingual can be translators” or “Translators can become interpreters”. These misunderstandings undervalue the expertise and professionalism of language practitioners.
This Roundtable Discussion brings together translators, interpreters, and bilingual workers for a productive discussion on how to dispel misconceptions, raise awareness of the profession, and how Polaron can better collaborate with language professionals. Insights from this discussion will help inform Polaron’s client outreach and future initiatives, fostering stronger industry relationships.
