SUMMARY:Roundtable Discussion: Dispelling Myths about Language Services
DESCRIPTION:As part of our ongoing commitment to collaboration and industry engagement\, we are excited to invite you to join our upcoming Roundtable Discussion\, “Dispelling the Myths about Language Services”  \nWhile language services are an essential and rewarding industry\, common misconceptions persist\, such as “Anyone who is bilingual can be translators” or “Translators can become interpreters”. These misunderstandings undervalue the expertise and professionalism of language practitioners. \nThis Roundtable Discussion brings together translators\, interpreters\, and bilingual workers for a productive discussion on how to dispel misconceptions\, raise awareness of the profession\, and how Polaron can better collaborate with language professionals. Insights from this discussion will help inform Polaron’s client outreach and future initiatives\, fostering stronger industry relationships. \nThis event will feature: \n\nA panellist discussion\n\n\nGroup discussions\n\n\nNetworking opportunities\n\nSession Details: \nDate: Friday 21 February 2025 \nTime: 4 PM – 5 PM AEDT \nLocation: Online via Zoom  \nPlease note that 10 NAATI PD points will be available for eligible participants. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nIf you have any questions\, please get in touch with us at eleanor.t@polaron.org or 1300 88 55 61 \nKind regards\, \nThe Polaron team
