Proudly supporting newly arrived community members with translations
At Polaron Connect, we’re proud to support newly arrived community members through their community organisations. If any of your clients are not eligible for the Department of Home Affairs’ Free Translating Service from TIS, we can help by offering up to three standard document translations per person, free of charge.
Who qualifies?
- New arrivals to Australia who cannot access the Department of Home Affairs’ Free Translating Service (TIS National).
- Referrals must come via community organisations (e.g., settlement services, community legal centres, migrant resource centres and schools)
Examples of standard documents
- Academic diploma or certificate
- Birth certificate
- Death certificate
- Divorce certificate
- Driver’s licence
- Marriage certificate
- National ID
- Police check certificate
What’s not included
- Clients who are eligible for the Department of Home Affairs’ Free Translating Service
- Complex, lengthy or technical materials (e.g., medical reports, legal pleadings, technical manuals)
- Commercial or business translations
- Urgent same‑day translation requests
Quality & confidentiality commitment
At Polaron Connect, we uphold the highest standards of quality and confidentiality.
Translations are carried out by experienced, NAATI‑certified translators. Where NAATI certification is not available for a specific language or document, we will inform you in advance and provide other options. Every translation goes through our quality assurance process to ensure accuracy.
Your documents and personal information are handled securely, in line with our strict data protection measures.
