Healthy lungs at work - Lung Foundation
How Polaron helped Lung Foundation disseminate critical lung disease resources
Overview
Lung Foundation Australia is the only charity and leading peak body of its kind in Australia that funds life-changing research and delivers support services that give hope to people living with lung disease or lung cancer. Since 1990, they have been working to ensure lung health is a priority for all, from promoting lung health and early diagnosis, advocating for policy change and research investment, raising awareness about the symptoms and prevalence of lung disease and championing equitable access to treatment and care.
The campaign
Lung Foundation Australia came to us with a factsheet, checklist and website landing pages that need to be translated. The factsheet was designed to help people understand more about silicosis and how they are typically diagnosed and managed. The checklist is a guide to help people recognise the potential exposure to hazardous particles and how to mitigate these risks. We translated these resources alongside the website landing pages.
The work
Polaron translated the factsheet, checklist and landing pages into 6 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Nepali, Punjabi, Vietnamese and Spanish. The translations also went through a rigorous review phase, including community review and internal quality checking against standards and style guides for each language.
