What is the Community Connectors Collective?
The Community Connectors Collective is a specialised multicultural engagement network, backed by Polaron Connect’s 25 years of experience in multilingual communication, community engagement and social research.
At its core, the CCC is a group of vetted, professionally trained multilingual community members who represent more than 50 cultural and linguistic groups across Australia. These are not interpreters working in isolation or consultants parachuted in from outside. They are people with deep roots in their communities, strong local networks, and lived knowledge of the cultural, linguistic and social realities that shape how people engage with organisations, services and information.
Community Connectors act as cultural leaders and facilitators. They co-design engagement strategies, support consultations, conduct outreach and ensure that every communication is accurate, culturally relevant and genuinely understood.
The model is built on the principles of the IAP2 Community Engagement Framework and has already contributed to major national projects, including the Refugee Experiences in Australia Study and the Mapping Social Cohesion research.

There is also the opportunity to undertake the Community Language Aide (CLA) certification administered by NAATI, providing formal recognition of your language skills and a credential that opens doors in professional language services.
