Joey is a newly admitted Australian lawyer. She completed her Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University in 2024 and her Practical Legal Training at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law in 2025. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science and is a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist in the Philippines.

Before moving to Melbourne, she worked as a university professor and as a legal content editor for LexisNexis.

Since relocating in 2018, she worked as a Customer Service Specialist for six years while pursuing her law degree and before joining Polaron, she worked as a paralegal at an immigration law firm.

She is also a member of Polaron’s Youth Advisory Panel.

Fun fact: Joey is a proud dog mum to a cheeky little pup named Koffee (yes, her phone is full of photos of him!). She is always up for a spontaneous road trip or food adventure and is a big fan of all things Taylor Swift, Harry Potter, and Stitch!
