Refugee Experiences in Australia Study
How Polaron amplified the voice of refugees and humanitarian entrants in Australia to inform policies and foster social cohesion.

Overview
The Scanlon Foundation Research Institute is an independent, non-profit research institute dedicated to undertaking research that helps Australia advance as a welcoming, prosperous and cohesive nation, specifically regarding the transition of migrants into Australian society.
The campaign
Our client came to us with the aim to engage CALD communities to capture culturally sensitive data across urban and rural areas while providing actionable recommendations to support refugee settlement.

The work
Polaron designed and implemented a mixed-methods approach to engage over 1,000 participants representing 15 communities and 17 languages, focusing on culturally safe engagement and inclusive participation. As part of the project, we:
- created in-language resources in 15 languages with participation of the community
- recruited and trained 30+ bilingual workers
- administered national surveys and conducted in-depth interviews
- managed logistics and ensured ethical compliance
- designed accessible surveys for easy participation
