Born to Hong Kong and Malaysian Chinese parents, Belle spent her early schooling years in Singapore and trained as a crime journalist before moving to Melbourne, Australia.  

As a former international student, mother/stepmother to a beautiful, blended family, professional communicator and marketer, and passionate advocate for inclusivity and equality across cultures and abilities, Belle uses her abilities in story-telling and empathic listening to help others find their voices. 

Following two decades of working across mainstream and ethnic media platforms, Belle started Jia Collective in 2024 – a marketing, communications and community engagement agency that aims to bridge the knowledge and representation gap between multicultural communities and mainstream Australia. Some of her past projects include providing multicultural marketing strategy and competency training across federal and state government campaigns.  

Belle holds a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism), a Master of Advertising, and an MBA.
